Timothy Spangler, Sr., the Chef & Owner at Mezzogiorno, has learned the ins and outs of the meaning of Italian cuisine from his Italian mother throughout his life. He has spent over 40 years in the restaurant industry and takes pride in every plate he serves. Now, he is ready to pass the torch to a new proprietor who can carry on the legacy of one of Central Market’s anchor vendors. As Tim seeks to retire, he has the desire to carefully select a successor to acquire the business and continue to deliver high-quality Italian food at Central Market York. Mezzogiorno shall continue to operate business as usual while Tim takes the time to look prudently for a successor who will continue the Central Market staple with the same level of quality, passion and service as Tim has delivered over the past decade.
Mezzogiorno anchors the Philadelphia St. entrance to Central Market with bar and table seating surrounding the market stand, and additional overflow seating in the food court. It can be operated up to seven days per week, with flexible hours beyond the typical operating hours of most other market vendors. It includes a full commercial kitchen with type 1 hood/fire suppression, reach-in refrigeration, 3-bay sink with grease trap, and traditional cooking apparatus (range, ovens, fryers, griddle, etc.) and much more.
